Nature's Best & Joke

Do you go on vacation and use up so much memory from taking photos of everything you see passing you by?

Well I do. There are so many shots I took from our trip to the PNW. Alexis AKA Mom lives in a beautiful place. We took the ferries from one island to another in the Washington State region. On the last island we took a boat ride to see if we could see any whales. Now I saw them when my sister and I were in Cap Cod, but hubby had not gotten to see any yet. We had taken a trip up to Bar Harbor when we 'made it legal' after nine years, two years ago. Taking a journey sometimes we find we like it in the off 'tourist' season, but many whale watching boats off the north east coast do not go out when the weather begins to get cold in mid-October. Also, its a chance you take going out. You might or might not see any. Just things like these guys. Hanging out and earning a poor living being gawked at by random tourists. Photos being snapped right and left, and put up on sights like this.

Well we did see whales. A mother and baby playing very far out, and there were so many other boats circling; that we could not even get that close. Those photos look like small pieces of drift, and lots of boats around it. The sea loins just really do not care who we are. King of the Hill! There is always one out there.

Joke-Dad at the Mall

I took my dad to the mall the other day to buy some new shoes (he is 92). We decided to EAT at the food court. I noticed he was watching a teenager sitting next to him. The teenager had spiked hair in all different colors: green, red, orange, and blue. My dad kept staring at him. The teenager would look and find him staring every time. When the teenager had had enough, he sarcastically asked, 'What's the matter old man, never done anything wild in your life?' Knowing my Dad, I quickly swallowed my food so that I would not choke on his response, knowing he would have a good one, and in classic style he did not bat an eye in his response.

"Got drunk once and had sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were my son!"
