Changing colors...

“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry,” Maya Angelou once said, “but by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.”

I believe if we were immortal; then this might just happen. Why? Because it takes a lot of patience and living to even begin to understand ourselves...little own, understanding others...so, we need a lot more time to get everything done, and get it all done right.

I think that quote is such a strong one!

I hate that people can not seem to put their differences (or more likely ignorance) aside and just get along!

One of the reasons I travel (a lot!) is because I know how much I get out of it in terms of understanding different cultures better. But it's true that you can't get everywhere in one lifetime!

Really great quote and analogy with the crayons! Ya know if you mix all the crayon colors together it becomes a wonderful shade of gray ! Which we'll all become over time anyway!;-)
