Love Thy Self

When we flip the light switch on what do we really see in when we look into a mirror? Do we see just ourselves? Do we like what we see? Is there beauty that is not apparent but deserving of attention? After careful thinking of what has transpired in my life the past couple of weeks, and taking a good look at myself through others eyes, I realize now I should have practiced the 'Hug A Bum' chapter of my studies for the past few weeks...let my 'Positive Valve' open up on them...I am now...

Stories that involve the young Narcissus of myth, were spun to show how vanity and the mirror can become a fatal fantasy, and the beautiful boy's life forever changed in a negative way due to what he chose to see. If we could only realize what lies about us in our reflection's of a room is more precious than we could ever imagine. Even Shakespeare chose to write about characters who truly opened their eyes could see what virtual realities existed beyond the glass.

Self-condemnation in any form is nothing but a cop-out, a comfortable place to be where we have no responsibility to our true selves, only to our physical images. We can meditate, chant, play with crystals and incense, do yoga, and proclaim our divinity forevermore, but for as long as we hold judgments against ourselves, empowerment and awakening will be nothing but words.

Self criticism is a killer because it looks us inside our bodies. It closes our inner self, washing us in the most caustic, destructive negative energies that can be produced. Lack of self love is another expression for judgment, creating negative energy that closes in upon itself.

Nothing good is going to come of the disapproval of yourself. No abundance, no well-being, no perfect health, and very little joy. Holding yourself in low esteem will only show itself through unhappiness and misery...Love your self. Treat yourself to some self love. Go out and do things for yourself. You deserve to flip your switch on and give yourself approval and not put downs.

My photo represents that instead of looking into the mirror and seeing how your physical self has changed, but to look at the things around you that are reflections of how you love yourself. Instead of material beauty turn it into your inner beauty and show the world you deserve to be loved for what you have truly are and will be when you reach your full potential...

Open up your joy valve by accepting what you see in the mirror and 'Love Thy Self'. I do, and all of you out there. When I look into your mirror through your writing, etc., I only see what is inside. It matters not what you look like to me. There is NO reason to seek approval to make us better for this life.

Before we can become healthy and fit on the outside (the physical), we have to love what we truly are on the inside; which is what is eventually left on this earth when we leave our physical being. The only true thing that matters in this life to begin with. Most people have not even begun to realize what that really means...

hmmmm...

very well written. There are many things I would like to add to this and many things I would like to comment on and things that might help others on this subject... but I wont...
(J.K.!!! - I have to...)
I look in the mirror and I see the man I am meant to be - the person I am evolving into but the shadow of my destiny is never to far behind - that person I was. The personas I have been - all the baggage and all the ghosts from my past that I run away from - that chase me or push me tward the man I am meant to be. Many people don't know what it is that they really want out of life - what do you really, truely... deep in your heart and soul desire out of life?
Once you have figured that out then you will evolve into the person you are meant to be - some change for the better chasing their hearts desires and some change for the worse - but you will change - YOU MUST CHANGE! - you maust change before you can become the person you are meant to be... have you ever heard the saying - "if you want to make changes in your life then you have to make changes in your life"? It is the truth, you must, and many people will not make the changes that are needed in order to evolve and better themselves. What you look like on the outside does not compare to the beauty one carries on the inside but do you know you have beauty on the inside? If you are not happy with a certain situation you have to take steps to change that situation, whatever it may be - but you must make changes - you can't keep doing the same damn thing or you will always be in the same damn situation and you will always keep getting the same damn results. this may go on forever if I don't stop now. figure out people, what it is that you really want and come to terms with it - that is step one. Step two is realizing all the things you have to do in order to get that thing that you want the most and accepting those challenges. Step three is being able to make the changes in your life that are required in order for you to get that thing that you desire the most out of life and that means letting go of your fears and your anger and all the dissappointments from your past - these things are all the shadows of your destiny and they will hold you back - friends and family, ex husbands and wives and lovers - you have to let them all go - any one and anything that is going to be negative about your desire to go after the thing that you want the most must be pushed aside because until you suffer for it and bleed for it and and shed tears for it and fight for it... only after you have gone after that thing that you want the most out of life will you learn what you are really made of and what you are capable of doing - you will learn who you really are and what you are. it will make a big difference when you look at your self in the mirror and the person you are meant to be looks back at you instead of the person others want you to be looks at you or the person that others have made you looks at you...

No I love it when you comment! That is what I am trying to say. We have to except what we have done in the past, NO REGRETS...and that is my next post...I have decided to do positive posts that are helping me hit the pavement so to speak, and I truly have no regrets, or embarrassed about what I have done in the passed, it is what made me who I am!

One of the wonderful things about blogworld is, just when you need to hear something, someone out there needs to say it.
