FSO- Aged & Weathered

No its not going to be picks of me, but a Friday Shoot Out topic chosen by Pauline!

Having arrived in Texas at 2 AM last Friday morning I needed some time to upload my pic(s), and just have little time to do more than what I have. My 30th year high school reunion is September 12th, so it has been crazy driving down from New Jersey to Virginia and then to Texas. With friends are pulling me ever which way this entire weekend I do not have much time to sort through all of the ones I have taken like I usually do.

Around New Jersey you will see farms, and old fences like this...the pile of old cars in the top photo remind us of how we let things sit, and need to learn how to recycle our waste...

They say that you can tell a woman's true age by her hands as we are weathered by life...who do you think of these two hands are older? I will reveal the answer in a few days...

Thank you for coming over, and I will be over to your sites in a day or so...you know I always enjoy all of the Friday Shoot Out posts!

If you would like to take the camera from my side bar to add to your site for Friday Shoot Out...please do!

I have no clue on the hands, none at all. I have very prominent veins in mine so I look even older than I am. So, I'm clueless on how to read others.

Great shots! I have a fondess for the scrap pile - just because it reminds me of all the farmer I grew up around.....everyone had a metal scrap pile!

You seem to be traveling in and around the stomping grounds of my youth.....great memories are being brought up from reading your blog! I'll be back often (plus - aren't you the Chef E from Big Bunch of Losers?)

I think you were getting us to think of our answer on our first impulse. So I reckon the answer is the hand on the right.

Do you remember the palmolive dish washing liquid," I am putting your hands in."

must remind myself to moisturise my hands more often. Tend to be lazy and now I have dish washer hands.

I do not know about age of the hands, but the two people seem to love each other the way the pinkies touch. I like that photo for that reason. I also like the old, rusty tractor!

I post my FSO and sundaystills on my annkschin.blogspot.com,and most others on this blog. Last week, I started my vacation, and I have been posting more than usual.

30 years reunion is a special event. I went to my 28th, we paid for our teachers from UK and USA to come back to Borneo. Great time.

One month's difference, yet one hand has a lot more stories to tell.

I hope your reunion was great! I loved your pictures. In the 70's in Toronto, they purposely put metal around town to rust like that and called it "process art" . The metal goes through various changes in the rain. I love how curled up the farm machinery looks. Lovely!

Just telling it like it is said...

Passed down from grandma to mother to child we have always lied about our age. Is that bad?

I kept going back and forth on the hands, but I'm guessing the one on the left.

Great shot of the tractor!

the hand on the left - it isn't about wrinkes or dry skin it is about color!

this october we will have our FORTIETH I will miss it - too bad except that I don't remember anyone anyway.

hope yours was fun though - any reason to celebrate!

I don't know about the hands, but I do know that photo of the fence in the mist is breath taking.

Well, since I am late getting around to posting on the Friday shoot out blogs, I already know the answer to the puzzling hand question.

I like the hunks of metal and the fence is just beautiful. Great job. You rock, girlfriend.

Hope we can meet up on your return back to Jersey.

Hey, this is cool; I know the hand answer too. The farm machinery is A-1.
