Power can be a state of mind...we have the ability to power up our bodies in many ways...
Todays post is 'Power' picked by J9...
Believe me this was not an easy task to walk on the treadmill and shoot my photos, but I was empowered to do it for the good of myself and daily inspiration...
The condo we live in here in Princeton is small, and we will be moving after the first of a year to a bigger one with more storage space. Our fitness machines are strown all about the place, but this particular corner is full of fishing equipment, and I am excited to let the cat out of the bag. Hubby and I will get the chance to meet Gordon face to face in October when we make the journey to a King Salmon fishing adventure further east. The power of the Salmon River is calling us...
My clients son is really fun to hang out with...he stimulates me to use the power of my brain, and we have fun playing brain games with his homework, and board games that keep me on my toes...
I run an open mic for poets and acoustic performers, and we power up with support for each other as we play to an audience each Tuesday in the coffee house...speaking of coffee...many use that for some fuel each morning, noon, and night!
The power of the economy is affecting the small mom and pop joints all around us, and I hate to see good places like this go down the drains...
Speaking of food...the power of the sun produces some of the yummiest things for us to put into our bodies! My friend here in Jersey lets me raid her garden for some good tomatoes...yeah, and if you have never had a fried green tomato, well, go out and try some today...
Sarah Lulu posted pics of her new grand daughter Matilda for her post on power, and who can argue that the power of love can be one of the strongest motivations to keep us going, and going, and going... Here is me with my clients daughter, and even if I am not related I find that the sweet hugs, and laughter can power me up for the duration...and the thoughts of pulling a big king salmon, or steel head trout in from a powerful river in the near future...
Thanks for joining me for our weekly Friday Shoot Out, and with the rain here; it has been hard to stick to a true 'Power' theme.
If you would like to take the camera pic and link for your site over on my right hand sidebar feel free, it was designed for this very purpose and will lead you to the site where more blogs are waiting to have their photo story discovered...
Thanks to Patty, Gordon, and GingerV for letting me be part of this great blog team!

Awww thanks for the mention of my Matilda!
Isn't that little girl a cutie too?!
The treadmill so so clever.
I loved the sun idea ...isn't it amazing how we all think of different things!!
I love your power ideas E.
love your take on the theme. I need to be on that treadmill. Will agree - the power of love is an amazing thing!
Awesome Power you have displayed. Made me think too. Your fishing trips sounds to fun!!
Good idea with the treadmill - I totally would've ended up with a broken nose if I had tried to do something like that :) I like the chinese food sign, too...very cleaver to think of the power of the economy like that (and it reminds me that I need to find a new Chinese place now that I've moved).
Great thoughts on the theme - I liked the treadmill and the tomatoes - ANd you are right that a forthcoming vacation can power me up for months! Give Gordon a big hug from all of us virtual friends!
Love the treadmill pics! Sadly, my human power of that sort has been lacking lately.
Every post I have seen has been different, but oddly similar -- especially when mentioning the power of love. Enjoyed your blog today.
You have all kinds of power energizing your life! The power of love is the best, second only to the power of sweet babies who need kissed! The treadmill idea was inspired. Excellent blog, Chef E....... I'm contemplating salmon. Yum! Have a wonderful weekend! xoxo
Great expression for the theme of power...and for someone who skipped his work out today..a bit of a guilty feeling from your first few photos :)
Power to the Chef! You worked hard for this assignment. Great job!
Gorgeous!! I can't believe you actually took pictures while walking on the treadmill...I'm glad you're still intact, LOL!! :D
very interesting take on the assigment, i need to get on the treadmill myself, lol
I love the neon sign photo, and congrats on pulling off the treadmill shots. That could have been dangerous.
a very fantastic shoot out! how exciting to soon be meeting a fellow "gang" member.
Very interesting takes on power!
Great idea and creative too!
This is a really cool idea, E! (I hate when the independent businesses go under..they have it tough enough when the economy is flush.)
I'm putting you into my blog roll because my reader is too hard to follow. That way I can keep up better!
You really expanded my thoughts on power! I had taken a picture of my feet while jogging but couldn't quite get it right so scrapped it - you are right, that is a hard shot to get!
Hi, great post on power and the person! I really liked the photos on the treadmill - a crackup.
came looking for relaxation and found a power entry I'd missed. good power pictures. I also 'adopt' others childrens so I can keep up my power of the baby hug.... good post.
