FSO- Park Landscapes

Hello everyone!

I have been a little MIA this week on your sites right? My step-sister's father died this past summer. Donna has not been doing well emotionally. She ask if I would let her come up and hang out for a few weeks, so of course I said yes. I lost my parents five years ago, and know how it feels when you realize they are just not there to call or pop in on any more. Donna and her father shared the same birthday, and it was this past Tuesday (She lost her mom when she was much younger).

I am looking at her right now, and she is the most relaxed she has been all summer. We are having champagne, sliced fruit, and blueberry muffins for brunch in our room!

This week JarieLyn picked 'Park Landscapes'- We have been busy, and I have only taken one photo of a play ground landscape that helps our kids use their imagination. One thing I really believe is that our kids today have to much stimulation, and do not use their own minds to pretend. Playgrounds like this to me are the best design you can find!

I will be coming and check your sites this weekend, and appreciate your coming over!

I think kids need to use their imaginations more too. Great playground toys! I hope you enjoyed your champagne, now it's time for the wine.

I like those playgrounds too...as did my kids when they were small.

I agree, kinds just need a stimulus for their imaginations, not have the whole thing handed to them on a plate--or computer screen.

I know how that goes. That's really nice of you to spend some time with her and hang out. It's obviously doing wonders for her spirits.

Oh good for you. I hope your step-sister is doing better. And I agree with you about kids needing to get out and just be kids, minus game-boys and play stations.

So nice to hear of sisters looking out for each other. I agree with you about kids, too. Let them develop their imaginations and they won't need much else.

I'm so glad you mentioned the simple things that used to stimulate the imagination of a child. I miss those times.

Just telling it like it is said...

Good friends are hard to find she is blessed to have you and I know I had a wonderful time with you!!!

yes children need to be allowed to use their imagination, seems like we give them too many things that do the thinking for them, we used to make a complete world from baxes and sand. no toys, ball, bikes or wooden trains... hope your s-sister is doing better with the company.

That is an awesome park! I love the picnic table on the train platform. Fun!

Aww, I love the little train! I think more parks should have things like that - something more than just a slide and swing, but something that helps kids use their imagination while playing.
